Short version
- We don't collect any personal data from you.
- We don't set any first-party cookies.
- We don't run third-party tracking scripts beyond Google AdSense, which is only loaded after you opt in via your browser's privacy controls (AdSense honors Global Privacy Control / "Do Not Track" signals and skips ad personalization for users with those enabled).
- We don't sell anything. We don't have a mailing list to put you on. We don't have an account system.
- If you email us, we keep the email for as long as it's useful for the conversation and then we delete it.
Server logs
Like every site on the internet, our hosting provider (a small VPS running Caddy + Docker) records standard HTTP request logs: your IP address (truncated to /24 by Cloudflare before it reaches us), the URL you requested, the response code, and the user agent. These logs are rotated daily and deleted after 7 days. We use them only to debug outages and abuse — never to build a profile of you.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analyticswhen it's enabled in the Cloudflare dashboard for this domain. It is privacy-friendly: no cookies, no IP storage, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no personal data. Aggregate traffic counts only.
If we ever add a different analytics tool (Plausible, Google Analytics 4, etc.), this page will be updated before that happens.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google may use the advertising cookie to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
EU/UK visitors: AdSense may serve non-personalized ads to visitors in jurisdictions requiring consent until consent is given. We are not required to display a consent banner for basic ad serving under Google's TCF v2.2 compliance, but you can always opt out via the links above.
AdSense only loads on this site when the publisher has been approved and configured. Until then, the site is ad-free.
Third-party embeds
We don't embed third-party iframes, fonts from Google Fonts (we self-host), YouTube videos, social-media widgets, or any other content that would set its own cookies. (Fonts are loaded via next/font/google at build time and served from our own domain.)
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used this site, email us and we'll address it.
Data breaches
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users via this page within 72 hours. (Since we collect almost nothing, this notification will almost certainly be a single line saying "nothing personal was exposed.")
Your rights
Under CCPA, GDPR, and similar laws, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Since we hold none, the answer to these requests is generally "there's nothing to return" — but if you email us, we'll confirm that in writing.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Effective date" at the top and note the change briefly here. The full history of changes is available on request.
